About Bridge of Hope Ministries

Bridge of Hope Ministries is a non-denominational Christian church with a strong outreach ministry to the community of Owego, NY and the surrounding area. Mary Osborn and her son, Mark, serve as Vice-President and President respectively and are both ordained ministers. Let us share with you how Bridge of Hope Ministries started.

In July 1994, Mary received a vision from the Lord. In the vision, the Lord showed her the particular building where we presently minister, with a sign that read, "Coffee & Prayer" and "Nothing is impossible with God" (Luke 1:37). Shortly after, Mark had a vision in October while attending World Harvest Bible College in Columbus, Ohio. Mark had no prior knowledge of his mother's vision. The Lord showed him the interior of the same building. In this vision, Mark was doing administrative work, teaching and preaching to a group of people. Later when Mary and Mark shared their visions, the majority of the material was the same! Isn't it interesting how God confirms His plans? This vision of ministry didn't come to fruition overnight however. It wasn't until October 1996 that Bridge of Hope opened its doors for ministry to the people of Owego, being centrally located on Main Street. Much work physically and spiritually went before opening day.

Our reliance has always been upon Jesus Christ. It was He who birthed this ministry and He who continues to sustain it. Financially we are supported through the generous donations of people, perhaps like yourselves, who see the need of humanity for the Savior Jesus Christ. Whether it's a bag of groceries with a "God bless you", or a compassionate listening ear to a lonely individual, or a prayer of healing for an ill person, we are here to minister the full gospel of Jesus Christ.

Bridge of Hope is open Tuesday through Friday from 10:30am to 5:00pm and by appointment. Sunday Worship Service is at 11:00am and Discipleship Training at 7:00pm.

Much of the ministry that takes place here is one-to-one. We are not licensed counselors, but we offer Biblical consultation based upon the principles, standards, and values found in the Bible.

Prayer support is also a large part of the ministry, both individually and corporately. As the Lord gives guidance, speakers, outreaches, and teachings take place throughout the year as well. You may want to refer to "Upcoming Events" and "Weekly Events" for more specific information.
